Bulldogs Start 2-0
The Halton Hills Jr. B Bulldogs are off to a solid start after a 15-8 road win over Brampton and a 13-4 win in their Home Opener over the Barrie Bombers.
To this point, Carter Stephens and Jackson McGarr have split the goaltending duties and have both been outstanding. McGarr's win came in the first Jr. B start of his career and made 41 saves.
Offensively, Matthew Ford (7-4-11) and Owen O'Halloran (4-7-11) lead the Bulldogs point parade followed closely by Noah Kearney and Brody Fletcher who each have 10 points through two contests.
On the defensive side of the ball it's been a group effort, however the transition game has been strong early in the season, something Bulldogs Head Coach Patrick Miles hopes can become the team's calling card.
On Sunday, the Dogs will head to Orillia for an afternoon showdown with the Orillia Kings who pulled off an upset of the heavily favoured number two seeded Bulldogs in the first round of last year's OJBLL playoffs. MJ Schwager, who was recently acquired from the Windsor Clippers, will see his first action in a Bulldogs jersey.
